Additional Members
Team and Agency plans include a set number of members. If you need more seats, additional members can be added at $5 per seat per month. For Team, this applies beyond 10 members. For Agency, beyond 25. Additional seat charges are prorated when added mid-cycle and appear as a line item on your next invoice.

Using Alongside Other Tools
Can I use Timestamped alongside other agency tools?
Yes. Timestamped works as your personal evidence organization and reporting system. Export reports as PDF or DOCX, or download entire cases as ZIP archives with all evidence files, metadata, and transcripts. Your organization structure is your own, your data stays yours, and your exports are standard formats that work with any downstream workflow.
Gumshoe: Try Before You Buy
The Gumshoe plan is designed as a low-commitment entry point. At $9 per month, you get full access to case management, partner sharing, reports, and all core features. Storage and transcription are billed on a pay-as-you-go basis at premium rates ($0.10/GB for storage, $0.50/hr for transcription).
If your monthly pay-as-you-go costs regularly approach or exceed the Solo plan price, upgrading will save you money. Solo includes 50 GB of storage and 20 hours of transcription with lower overage rates.
Upgrading Your Plan
To upgrade your subscription:
- Go to Billing from the main navigation.
- Click Change Plan or Manage Subscription.
- Select the plan you want to upgrade to.
- Confirm the change. Your new plan takes effect immediately, and you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing cycle.
Downgrades also take effect immediately. If your current usage exceeds the new plan's allocations, overage rates will apply.
Scheduled Upgrades
If you prefer not to pay a prorated charge, you can schedule an upgrade to take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Select the plan you want, choose Schedule for Next Cycle, and the change will activate on your renewal date. You can cancel a scheduled upgrade at any time before it takes effect.
Grace Period Upgrades
Loyal customers may qualify for a free upgrade window when their renewal date is near. If your next billing date falls within the grace window, the upgrade takes effect immediately at no additional cost for the remaining days. The new tier price begins at your next renewal.

Overages

When accumulated overage charges exceed a threshold during the billing cycle, the system automatically creates and charges an invoice rather than waiting for your renewal date. This prevents large surprise charges at month-end. Thresholds vary by plan: $10 for Gumshoe, $25 for Solo, $50 for Team, and $100 for Agency. After a mid-cycle charge, the overage counters reset and accumulation starts fresh.
Trust Profiles
Timestamped uses a trust profile system to manage how much overage usage your organization is allowed before charges must be settled. Your trust tier is calculated automatically based on payment history, account tenure, and usage patterns.

Your trust tier is displayed on the Billing page (visible to admins and owners). As your organization builds a track record of on-time payments and consistent usage, your trust tier advances automatically, unlocking higher overage allowances. Recent payment issues (within 90 days) may temporarily cap your tier at Standard regardless of your overall score.
Prepaid Packs
If you anticipate heavy usage, prepaid packs offer discounted rates compared to overage pricing. Packs are available for storage, transcription hours, and AI credits.

Purchase prepaid packs from the Billing page. Prepaid balances expire 2 years after purchase and are consumed before overage charges apply. Oldest balances are used first (FIFO).
Managing Payment
Payment is handled through Stripe. You can manage your payment method, view invoices, and update billing details from the Billing page.
- Update payment method: Click Manage Subscription to open the Stripe customer portal where you can add or change your card.
- View invoices: Past invoices are available in the Stripe customer portal. Each invoice itemizes your subscription, overages, and any prepaid pack purchases.
- Billing cycle: Subscriptions renew on either the 1st or the 15th of each month, depending on when you signed up. If you signed up on days 1 through 14, your billing date is the 15th. If you signed up on days 15 through 31, your billing date is the 1st of the following month. Overages are calculated and added at the end of each billing cycle.
Past Due and Suspension
If a payment fails, Stripe will automatically retry the charge several times over the following days. During this period your account remains active.
If all retry attempts fail, your account enters a past due state. While past due:
- You can still view existing cases and evidence.
- Uploads, transcription, and other billable features are temporarily disabled.
- A banner will appear prompting you to update your payment method.
Once payment is resolved, full access is restored immediately. No data is deleted during a past-due period.
AI Credits
AI credits power Johnson voice intake, document intake, and AI report generation. Solo and above include a monthly allocation of credits that resets at the start of each billing cycle. Gumshoe users can access AI features on a pay-as-you-go basis at $0.05/credit.

Typical Usage

Referral Program
Earn monthly AI credits by referring other investigators to Timestamped. When someone you refer becomes an active subscriber, you receive ongoing credits each billing period based on their subscription tier.
How It Works
- Share your referral link: Find your unique referral link in Settings.
- Your referral signs up: They create an account using your link and choose a paid plan.
- Referral qualifies: After your referral completes their second monthly payment, they become "qualified" and start earning you credits.
- Credits awarded monthly: At the start of each billing period, you receive credits based on your active referrals.
