Terms of Service

Last updated: November 2025

The Deal

You use our service to document and manage evidence for your investigations. We provide the tools and storage. You follow the rules. We all get along.

Who Can Use This

You need to be:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Legally allowed to use this service in your jurisdiction
  • Not prohibited from using it by any court order or legal restriction
  • Using it for legitimate investigative or legal purposes

By signing up, you're confirming all of the above.

Your Account

You're Responsible

Your account, your responsibility. Keep your login secure. Don't share credentials. If someone uses your account, that's on you. Tell us immediately if your account is compromised.

One Account Per Person

Don't create multiple accounts to get around limitations or pricing. If you need multiple users, that's what team plans are for (when we launch them).

What You Can Do

With a paid subscription, you can:

  • Upload and store evidence files (videos, photos, audio)
  • Create and manage investigation cases
  • Add notes, tags, and timestamps to evidence
  • Generate reports and exports
  • Use transcription and AI-assisted features (when available)

What You Can't Do

Don't be a jerk. Specifically:

  • No illegal stuff: Don't upload illegal content or use the service for illegal purposes
  • No harassment: Don't use this to stalk, harass, or threaten people
  • No hacking: Don't try to break our security, access other people's accounts, or reverse engineer the service
  • No abuse: Don't spam, DDoS, or otherwise abuse the service
  • No reselling: This is for your use. Don't resell access to others
  • Follow the law: Comply with all applicable laws regarding recording, privacy, wiretapping, etc.

Important: You're responsible for knowing and following the laws in your jurisdiction about recording people, consent, privacy, and evidence handling. We're not your lawyer.

Your Content & Our Rights

You Own Your Stuff

Your evidence files, case notes, reports - that's all yours. We don't claim ownership.

But We Need Some Rights

You grant us the right to:

  • Store and process your files to provide the service
  • Make copies for backup and redundancy
  • Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the service
  • Display your content back to you (obviously)

We won't use your specific case files for marketing or training AI models without permission. We might use anonymized patterns (like "users who upload video files tend to add timestamps within 2 hours") but never your actual evidence content.

You're Legally Responsible

You warrant that:

  • You have the legal right to upload and use the content
  • Your content doesn't violate anyone's rights (copyright, privacy, etc.)
  • You obtained it legally and ethically

Pricing & Payment

Free Trial

We might offer a free trial. No credit card required. When it ends, you convert to paid or lose access.

Paid Plans

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. You authorize us to charge your payment method. Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice.

Refunds

Generally no refunds, but we're reasonable. If you have a legitimate issue within the first 7 days of a new subscription, contact us. We'll work something out.

Cancellation

Cancel anytime. You'll have access until the end of your billing period. After that, your account goes read-only for 30 days, then we delete everything.

Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime, but stuff happens:

  • Scheduled maintenance (we'll give notice)
  • Emergency fixes
  • Acts of God, DDoS attacks, internet outages

We're not liable if the service is down at the exact moment you need it. That's why you should download critical evidence before court dates.

We Can Suspend or Terminate Your Account

We can suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these terms
  • Your payment fails
  • We're required to by law
  • We suspect illegal activity

We'll try to give you notice and a chance to fix things, unless it's an emergency or we're legally prohibited from notifying you.

Disclaimers (The Legal CYA Stuff)

The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We don't guarantee:

  • That it will always work perfectly
  • That it's error-free or secure from all attacks
  • That the AI features are 100% accurate
  • That it meets all your specific needs
  • That evidence collected through our service will be admissible in court (that's up to the judge)

We're not a law firm. Nothing we provide is legal advice. Consult an attorney about admissibility, chain of custody, and legal requirements.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We're not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (or $100, whichever is greater).

Translation: If you lose a case because our service was down, or if evidence gets corrupted, we're really sorry but we can't pay your damages. Back up critical evidence elsewhere.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising from:

  • Your use of the service
  • Your content
  • Your violation of these terms or any law

Translation: If you upload illegally-obtained evidence and someone sues us about it, you're paying for our lawyers.

Disputes & Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Florida. You consent to jurisdiction and venue there.

No Class Actions: Any disputes must be brought individually, not as part of a class action.

Changes to Terms

We can modify these terms. We'll notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service means you accept the new terms.

Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These terms, plus our Privacy Policy, are the whole deal. No verbal agreements.
  • Severability: If one part is unenforceable, the rest still stands.
  • No Waiver: If we don't enforce something once, that doesn't mean we never will.
  • Assignment: You can't transfer your account. We can transfer our obligations (like if we get acquired).
